Located just 10 kms north of Westport on the Karamea-Heaphy track Highway 67 ,we are ideally situated for travellers to explore the Northern Buller. Originally built in 1874 the Pines has been the home of a cold beer and a social gathering place for generations of “Black Gold” miners. A roaring fire in the winter and shady decks and Garden bar in summer offer the perfect place to relax and rejuvenate. The Banbury Restaurant, serving hearty home-style food.
As a stopover or as a base for day trips,(Charming Creek Walkway, The Oparara Arches, Limestone Caves, Jet Boating, Rafting the Nile, Fishing;so much to do!) we offer a unique West Coast experience. Come chat with the locals or stay for a day or two on our park-over property. We are pet friendly; Our dog Bonnie and cats Jake & Elwood roam the grounds and often hog the fire in winter.
